Kids Are The Future

The future of a healthy environment depends on the next generation. That is why the Kids Environmental Classroom aims to help public school children develop longer-term thinking to become more aware of their environmental impact in their communities. Ultimately, our goal is to encourage the students in becoming environmentally responsible members of society through learning by playing.

Learning Together for The Environment

The program targets kids aged 9-15 of public schools in South Kuta. They are taught to apply environmental principles in their community by examining local problems and finding solutions. Twice a week, R.O.L.E. provides minibus transfers for 15-20 students per session.

R.O.L.E. also has an afternoon teaching program for local kids of Sawangan. For 1,5 hours, the kids gather in our outdoor classroom, learning English and get environmental lessons in a fun way.

“I enjoy learning about the environment, doing paper and soap recycling, also sowing seeds in ZeroWaste Center. Can I study here forever?”

“We at Cuca couldn’t think of a better way to literally invest in the future than contributing to R.O.L.E. programs. The fate of our planet lies on the hands of our children and it is our moral obligation to provide them with the education and the tools they need to protect it and save it from ourselves. With Cuca’s small contribution we are hoping to help our next generation take the lead by creating a different relationship with the natural world that focuses on solutions, not excuses. Just what Mother Earth needs.”
